From Lima a route exists to arrive at the city of the Huaraz: The route Lima - Pativilca - Huaraz, the passage lasts approximately 8 hours in car. Huaraz has a strategic position to the center of the Department of Ancash and is a communication axis with the remaining provinces of the "Region Chavin" with wagon footpaths.

AERIAL: Daily flights exist from Lima towards the airport of Anta located to 15 minutes of the city of Huaraz, the duration of flight is of half an hour approximately.

CLIMATE AND SEASON:
April - September: Dry and sunny. October - March: Rainy variable and. Huaraz has a temperature annual average of 14° (Maxima of 19° and minim of 10° C).

ALTITUDE: 3350 msnm. (meters on the level of the sea).

CURRENCY AND FORMS OF CHANGE
The official currency of Peru is the New Sun (S/.) divided in 100 céntimos. It circulates in currencies of 10, 20 and 50 céntimos, 1, 2, and 5 New Suns and in bills of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 New Suns.

The North American dollar is accepted in most of the commercial premises, restaurants and stations on watch to the change of the day. The great majority of establishments accepts the known credit cards more: It sights, Card Masters, Diners and American Express. The use of travellers checks has limitations, to consult in the establishment if they are accepted.

TOURISM VISAS
It is not necessary for the citizens of most of the countries of America and Western Europe. The citizens of Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile do not need passport nor sights to enter certain regions of Peru.

RECOMMENDATIONS
To carry clothes adapted for each circuit:
  • Llanganuco: Camera, dress coat or jacket
  • Pastoruri: To wear sheltered clothes, dark slippers, lenses, gloves, light breakfast.
  • Chavin: To take flash, moderately warm clothes.
  • Canotaje: To wear appropriate clothes, short, pole, slippers, blocking lot, clothes of change, etc.
  • To take small knapsack, canteen, vicera sobrero or, blocking lot, box lunch.
  • Stroll to Horse: To wear hat, vicera, blocking lot.
  • Rock scaling: To wear appropriate clothes, blocking lot, towel.
