JOSE OLAYA: It is a street of few blocks,
of typical colonial architecture, the only section that
has been undamaged of the old city destroyed by the

WILLCAHUAIN
COMPLEX ARQUEOLOGICO
To
7 kilometers to the northeast of Huaraz, the complex
Willca Huain, pertaining to the Wari culture (800-1200
d.C) originating of Ayacucho is based, is constituted
by a temple or main portable altar made of great stones
seated with mortar of mud and roads with small stones;
it has three floors below the level of ground and two
on the surface. It consists of low galleries and small
rooms whose, the temple in its interior is dark and
dismal, their vaults are constituted by great stones
seated on walls. From the outside the temple has quadrangular
form with vaulted ceiling and oriented small doors to
the four cardinal points. Near him other smaller temples
exist. It is important so that it is the only complex
pertaining to that existing culture in the zone.
